My trip to the US after 4 yrs

SO today is the day I will see you again old friend. And when I see you I will stare you in the face and you will stare me in my eyes and say “Welcome home”. And though things might get a little awkward because I haven’t seen you in over 3 year, our bond will be forever there. Make home for me because I am on my way. My friend: America

My name is Tuyali Ikemefuna, meaning "always seek truth", though I have to admit that I'm not always the best at doing this, I do however enjoy observing anything that represents life. Any way if you haven't notice by now that quote above is about me speaking about my trip back to the US after 3 yrs living in Cape Town, South Africa (SA). And let me tell you when you have been in a different continent for 3 yrs, which has different rules and different people, and coming back to your home state, which for me is California, things get interesting. I was in a local shop the other day reminiscing on different items especially snacks like Funyuns, Twinkies, Whopper ( the candy), and etc. I was also asking myself the question " What if South Africa had _____?" For instead, I was in this electronic store called "Fry's" , which is heaven if you need anything that has to do with electronics, and I found myself looking that i-Phone screen covers that were $.99 ( plus tax.....) with is cheap compared to what they cost in SA because you have to import them.

Now I understand that SA is still developing but there are places in SA like Johannesburg or Cape Town that are developed but still don't have items that the US does. Should they become more like the US or other Western Countries? That for you to think about but from my experience of living in South Africa, it has it's own beautiful culture and filled with people from all types of backgrounds and religions. This is the place where I got to meet with God and learn how to cook a certain South African meat called "boerewors". I never thought I be where I am now if it wasn't for SA. In conclusion, I love America with all my heart and always will, but I can proudly call South Africa my other home.
